Amy Ayre, soprano, is an active soloist and recitalist in the Washington, DC area, bringing to her students a personal understanding of the joys and challenges of singing.  Ms. Ayre maintains an active voice studio with students ages 8 through adult.   She is a frequent soloist at the Falls Church Anglican where she also serves as music director of the youth choir program with three choirs comprised of more than 60 singers.  She has sung with local professional opera companies including Bel Cantanti and Maryland Lyric Opera.  For two decades she sang with professional caliber choral groups in the Washington, DC area with more than 100 performances on the Kennedy Center Concert Hall stage.  She is a previous music instructor at The Falls Church Day School, Rivendell School, The Potomac School and the Children’s Chorus of Washington (CCW).  Ms. Ayre holds a Master’s in Music in Vocal Pedagogy from The Catholic University of America and studies with Argentinian baritone Gustavo Ahualli.
